On Hangers:

                         Instead of Walking

                                          &

                                 Calm Piece

The act of being where nobody knows you.

A city, one which you have never visited.

Walking down a crowded street, anonymous, making contact with no one.

                                      Online, where identities are curated.

A chat-room where everyone is lonely.

In your room, alone, at night, quietly masturbating.

(And the act of repeating cliches)

Queerness is a strange thing. It is not hereditary. We are not given it by our parents. We discover it within ourselves.  We choose to form community. We are unified beyond race, class, religion. (And yet we cannot forget that these things may still divide us.)

Empowered by Anonymity.

Anonymous to Survive.

Faceless by Choice.

Choosing to love and to fuck and to live.
