Ensnarled is a series of self-portraits (2016) by South African based artist Wilhelm Vincent. The series is a peregrination into queer expression and interaction in a rural environment. The portraits serve as a passive commentary on the darker side of queer culture that is mostly not spoken about in the larger public arena, especially not in rural South Africa.
